My heart is full, my maternal Grand-Uncle, Jaoa Nhambiu aka “Uncle John” was truly a man of Standard. He lived honorably.
He was a great listener and he spoke softly but made big waves in his community building efforts.
He was a LEGEND in his own rite.
I am grateful for the many years he lived to establish strong family ties here within his Mozambique community of Philadelphia, and in his native land.
He always checked up on me to encourage me with regards to projects I worked on.
His departure from this physical, ethereal plain, has left an incision on my heart but my heart rejoices, for He went to the land of the spirits where our ancestors dwell.
